Patti Ponzi

Patti Ponzi
Entergy

Patti Ponzi, 31, is an administrative specialist for Entergy.

She has volunteered for the United Way of Greater Oswego County by serving on the board of directors as well as the allocation and campaign committees. “I was fortunate enough to see fi rst hand the agencies and people that are in need in this county and how the United Way helps them,” Ponzi said.

In addition to the United Way, Ponzi has also served her community by volunteering as a Salvation Army bell ringer, a site campaign organizer for the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear power plant at Nine Mile Point in Scriba, and is a committee member of Share. Ponzi graduated from Cayuga Community College with a degree in accounting. She also received the “Above and Beyond” Award from JAF. “As clichéd as it sounds, my most signifi cant accomplishment is graduating from college. I am the fi rst person in my family to do so,” Ponzi said. “I hope to one day further my college education.”

Ponzi also received a certifi cate of appreciation for vounteering for the United Way. “I was fortunate enough to see fi rst hand the agencies and people that are in need in this county and how the United Way helps them. This certifi cate reminds me why I support the United Way and why it is important to be involved in making this county a better place to live,” Ponzi noted. She has helped the nuclear industry as an instructor for “Human Perfor- mance Stimulator.” This is a type of training that uses the fundamentals of human performance training in order to show how it can be applied to work situations. Ponzi is married with a 2- year-old daughter, and values a strong work ethic. (EA)
