Danielle Hayden

Danielle Hayden
Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of
Commerce

Danielle Hayden is the events coordinator for the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. She earned her associate’s degree in travel and tourism from Bryant and Stratton College.

She volunteers for YP Voice of Oswego County, and recently participated in the Oswego Kidney Walk to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation.

“Community work is the basis of my job,” she said. “I work with our business members and also with the cities of Oswego and Fulton putting on community and family events.” “Each event I plan represents an accomplishment to me. I put a lot of hard work and dedication into making each event the best it can be,” she said.

She is instrumental in coordinating events such as the Independence Day Celebration, Taste of Oswego, Pumpkin Fest, Tunes in June, and Rock the Block. She is also a pivotal force behind other chamber events such as the small business breakfast, annual meeting, golf tournament, holiday social, Oswego’s Project Bloom, Business After Hours and Perc Clubs.

“I try to bring new ideas to each event, making it a bit different each year,” she said. The chamber has successfully organized an additional committee called the Greater Fulton Business Committee. Hayden has assisted in this process in order to create a stronger chamber presence in the “City With a Future.”

“If it were not for my job, the cities of Oswego and Fulton would not have the kind of quality of life events that we are able to enjoy each year,” she noted. Hayden, 34, has a 7-year-old daughter, MacKenzie. (LS)
