Foster Funeral Home
Dennis Goss is the funeral director and operations manager at the Foster Funeral Home in Fulton. He received a pair of associate’s degrees — one in criminal justice from Onondaga Community College and the other from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse.
Goss is a member of Fulton Sunrise Rotary where he is actively involved in the youth exchange program. He is board vice president and chair of various committees for Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc. and is active in various school DWI Drill programs.
“These mock drills allow the opportunity to educate the students of the seriousness and potential consequences associated to drinking and driving and making poor choices,” Goss said. He has also mentored a BOCES Unique Venture student.
“The program allowed the student a shadowing experience prior to committing to a mortuary school,” Goss said.
He views his greatest success to be his family. “As a successful business person in the funeral industry my greatest successes or accomplishments are being a husband and father,” he said. “These successes have given me a connection with client families, helping them to see the value in a funeral and to acknowledge how great the loss of a loved one can be,” Goss said.
