Michael Eiffe
Central Square School District
Michael Eiffe is the principal of Cleveland Elementary in the Central Square school district. He received a bachelor’s in history and education from Hartwick College and a master’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Oswego.
Eiffe, 31, attended Massachusetts College to receive an education in school district administration. He is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and is a Central Square School District Bridges Out of Poverty facilitator.
“As an educator in the community of my roots and in which I currently live, my entire professional career and civic engagement are intricately woven into a tapestry of ‘community work,’” Eiffe said. Eiffe has won Channel 3’s “Educator of the Month” and Bryant and Stratton’s “Excellence in Education.”
“I am the principal of the school my children attend and live only minutes from the building,” he said. “Thus, each day, every week, I am thoroughly devoted to community and volunteer spirit.” One of the main driving factors for Eiffe’s career is being a part of the development of the future of the country. “As a professional educator teacher and principal, I am fortunate and humbled that my ‘product’ is the next generation of Americans,” Eiffe said.
