Brooks Wright

Brooks Wright
Director of New Business Development, KBM Management, East Syracuse

Brooks Wright is the director of new business development at KBM Management in East Syracuse.

Wright holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and an associate’s degree in natural resources.

Prior to his current position, he was director of the Sylvan Learning Center.
Wright was instrumental in KBM Management taking over the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce’s health benefits association plan in 2011. Each business in the plan was evaluated and had its plan changed, resulting in a modernization of benefits and costs savings for all businesses.

“Employee health benefits are changing rapidly due to legislation, and I want my clients to view me as a resource to guide them,” he said.

Wright said healthcare reform is going to have a dramatic impact on businesses in the years to come.

“I have been giving presentations over the last three years informing employers of these effects,” he said.

“Education is very important to me. Whether it is explaining high-deductible health plans or the effects of healthcare reform, I have taken the approach of educating business owners and employees,” Wright added.

Wright belongs to the chamber, and is involved with Fulton youth basketball and soccer.

“Youth coaching has been a great experience,” he said. “It is an opportunity to spend time with my own kids while also helping out in my community.”

Wright considers being a father as his most significant personal accomplishment.

“Every day, I take on the responsibilities required to be successful in my career while also being there for my kids,” he said.
