Kathryn Pagliaroli

Kathryn Pagliaroli
Director of Clinical Quality, Oswego Health

Kathryn Pagliaroli is director of clinical quality at Oswego Health.

She earned her Master of Science degree in management at Keuka College and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College.

In her job, she oversees discharge planning, utilization review, clinical documentation improvement, clinical quality, quality abstraction, infection control and social work.

"I have been successfully promoting a culture of change within Oswego Health," she said. "We have reduced length of stay and improved the revenue cycle through better understanding of payment systems and denial management." "I have been a champion for employee morale and patient satisfaction," she noted.

Pagliaroli, 33, says she loves people. "I take my profession seriously and want to help navigate the quickly changing arena of healthcare reform. I led the customer service team to implement an employee recognition program on the belief that our patients will never be more satisfied than our employees," Pagliaroli said.

She is involved in the Rural Health Network and recently worked on a grant that will allow county residents to access healthy foods and education on how to prepare the food.

Pagliaroli volunteers at Oswego Alliance Church, teaching children while serving as a deaconess. She also volunteers as a camp nurse at Camp Foundations. She regularly donates blood to the American Red Cross, and is an instructor for the American Heart Association in basic life support. She also volunteers at the Oswego Community Christian School with projects or helping in the classroom.
