Timothy Yager

Timothy Yager
Technology Support Professional, SUNY Oswego

Timothy Yager is a technology support professional at SUNY Oswego.

Yager, 31, earned a Master of Business Administration degree in management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in information science.

He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business students.

Yager said he has several significant professional accomplishments, including doing six professional presentations nationwide and having several industry-recognized certifications.

He is also chairman of the enterprise desktop services committee on campus where he guides campus computer-related decisions and projects.
“My field is very broad and I am able to excel by staying focused on my particular areas and by continuing my education,” he said. “By obtaining several computer certifications and a master’s degree, I have really helped myself in my career.”

Yager is heavily involved in Oswego County Habitat for Humanity and now serves as its president. He also does website work for Operation Southern Comfort. “I am most proud of the work I have done for Habitat for Humanity since becoming president,” he said. “I have recruited several new members, started several new committees, and began the process of a new initiative called ‘A Brush With Kindness.’”

The program will help low-income homeowners have exterior repairs done to their homes for a zero interest pay back.

Yager said he has been a part of Habitat for Humanity’s growth for some time and looks forward to continuing his role.
