Why did you decide to pursue a career in banking ?
" When I got out of college, I didn't know what I wanted to do. My neighbor was a long-time employee of HSBC and told me to go down and apply. I didn't understand banking or what it involved, but I learned it quickly. They gave me a chance as a 22-year-old man ."
How do you currently find yourself so high on the corporate ladder ?

" Realistically, it's about hard work and applying yourself. I was always taught by my father that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Ultimately, I know I'm only 26 and have a lot to learn. I surround myself with successful people. I copy what they do and put my own spin on things and that has been a winning equation ."
Why is civic leadership important to you?
"I grew up in Fulton and continue to live and do business in Fulton. Fulton's been good to me. There's not enough people out there trying to make a difference. It makes you feel good to know an organization you're involved with is helping the community."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I approach everything with the same attitude. I want to be successful. In 10 years time, I will continue to be successful no matter where I am."
