Why have you decided to make a career out of basketball?
"As a former player, athletics have been a big part of my life. I couldn't imagine not having a practice to go to. I was lucky to find a position in coaching at the college full time. A big part of coaching is teaching and I love that ."
Why do you think college athletics are important?

"Athletics are a great opportunity for learning and personal development. When you're part of a team you have to make sacrifices. The goals we set each year are difficult. They learn a lot about teamwork, sacrifice, hard work and performance."
Why did you put the student tutoring program on your agenda?
"We love the part of college athletics that is competing and playing, but we don't lose sight of the fact these kids are here to earn a degree. It's part of our jobs as coaches to assist in that manner."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"I'll definitely be coaching. It might be an eighth-grade team somewhere, but it will probably be at SUNY Oswego. I feel strongly that I've chosen the profession that's right for me. In 10 years, I'll be coaching and being a better coach."
