How are you working to change the way people view mental health?
"
I work in private practice and we see a lot of patients. With experience comes a desire to change. I'm on the fundraising committee for the Mental Health Association of Oswego County. We want to change the stigma attached to mental health."
What brought you into play therapy?
"One of my instructors taught a play therapy course. I decided to take it and absolutely fell in love with it. I just love it. It's very difficult to do but it pulls you in."
Why do you choose to focus on children's and immigrants' mental health services?
"For my Ph.D. program, I started a study with my colleagues that looks at immigrant mental health issues. I focus on a wide and eclectic mental health base."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

"I am an adjunct professor and academic adviser at Cayuga Community College. I would also like to have a full-time teaching position."
